Full-Day Tour: A Complete Hanoi Exploration
Our journey begins at the Quang Phu Cau Incense Village, a mesmerizing traditional craft village. You’ll be amazed by the vibrant beauty of thousands of incense sticks bundled together and dried under the sun. These colorful arrangements create a stunning backdrop for incredible photos and offer a genuine insight into a long-standing Vietnamese craft.
Next, we’ll visit the famous Train Street, an exhilarating experience where a train passes inches away from local houses. You can sit at a local cafe, enjoy a drink, and witness this thrilling moment, a truly unique experience only found in Hanoi.
Note: In case of rain, the Train Street visit will be replaced with a trip to Bat Trang Ceramic Village. Here, you’ll have the chance to see master artisans at work and even try your hand at pottery to create your own souvenir.
Note: if tourists just want to join a Half – day tour, after Meal, we will drop you off at your hotel inside Hanoi Old Quarter.
The afternoon begins with a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, a haunting and historically significant site. Known as the “Hanoi Hilton” by American POWs, a tour here will give you a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s history.
Next, we’ll head to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university. This peaceful complex is a symbol of Vietnamese scholarship and education.
We will then view the majestic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside while learning about this solemn monument. Our last historical stop is Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest and most sacred pagodas in Hanoi, beautifully situated on West Lake.
The tour concludes with a taste of a local delicacy: Egg Coffee. This rich, creamy, and unique coffee is a must-try for any visitor.
Flexible Tour Options & Pricing
This Luxury Small Group Tour is specifically designed for travelers seeking exceptional value ($35–$46/pax) without sacrificing comfort or quality. By sharing private A/C transportation and licensed guide services with a small group of international visitors, you unlock a comprehensive, all-inclusive itinerary at a fraction of the cost of a private tour. It offers a fun, highly social atmosphere where solo travelers, couples, and friends can meet, share experiences, and explore Hanoi together.
While a Private Hanoi City Tour provides total itinerary customization, flexible departure times, and exclusive guide attention, this Luxury Small Group Tour emphasizes shared group dynamics, structured efficiency, and unbeatable pricing. It is ideal for first-time visitors who want a hassle-free, expertly organized overview of the capital’s top highlights while enjoying conversations and photography exchanges with fellow travelers.
Quang Phu Cau Incense Village is located in the Ung Hoa district, approximately 35–40 kilometers south of central Hanoi (about a 1-hour drive each way). It is renowned for its centuries-old tradition of hand-crafting aromatic incense. Your group package includes all photography access fees, allowing you to walk among thousands of brightly dyed incense bundles arranged in striking formations while learning about Vietnamese spiritual life alongside your group.
We offer three flexible configurations to match your schedule:
Full-Day Group Tour ($46/pax): The most popular and complete experience, combining Quang Phu Cau Incense Village, Train Street, an authentic Vietnamese lunch, Hoa Lo Prison, Temple of Literature, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and traditional Egg Coffee.
Half-Day Morning Tour ($38/pax): Focuses on the colorful Incense Village, Train Street, and concludes after lunch.
Half-Day Afternoon Tour ($35/pax): Begins after lunch and covers core historical landmarks (Hoa Lo Prison, Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum exterior, Tran Quoc Pagoda) plus traditional Egg Coffee.
Train Street operations are subject to periodic safety regulations set by local authorities as well as weather conditions. If access to Train Street is temporarily restricted or affected by heavy rain, your guide will smoothly transition the group to an alternative cultural experience: Bat Trang Ceramic Village. At Bat Trang, your group will observe master pottery artisans at work and try making your own handcrafted ceramic souvenir.
Your package includes an authentic Northern Vietnamese lunch at a hand-picked neighborhood restaurant. Because our group tours host international travelers daily, dietary preferences are handled smoothly. Simply inform Dr. Son & Team in advance of any dietary needs—such as Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal-friendly, or severe allergies to nuts, gluten, or seafood—and your guide will arrange suitable set-menu alternatives for you at the restaurant.
Because this tour includes sacred Buddhist shrines (Tran Quoc Pagoda), academic temples (Temple of Literature), and solemn state monuments (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum), modest attire covering both shoulders and knees (no shorts, tank tops, or short skirts) is strictly enforced by local authorities. We recommend wearing lightweight, breathable long trousers or maxi dresses along with comfortable walking shoes suitable for group sightseeing.
Hanoi Egg Coffee (Cà Phê Trứng) is one of the capital’s most famous culinary innovations, made by whipping fresh egg yolks with sweetened condensed milk over rich Vietnamese robusta coffee to create a smooth, dessert-like foam. One serving of authentic egg coffee is fully included in both the Full-Day Tour ($46/pax) and the Half-Day Afternoon Tour ($35/pax).
Yes. Your shared luxury group vehicle remains dedicated to the group throughout the itinerary, with a professional driver attending the car at all stops. You can safely store your travel bags, heavy backpacks, and personal purchases inside the vehicle while exploring the incense village, temples, and museums completely hands-free.
You receive direct, 24/7 personal support from Dr. Son & Team before, during, and throughout your stay. Whether you want to join this budget-friendly small group tour, upgrade to a 100% private bespoke heritage journey, or coordinate pickup inside the Hanoi Old Quarter, simply contact us directly via WhatsApp (+84 988 438 916) or email (Paradisetrips.vn@gmail.com) for immediate VIP assistance.
