Morning: A Spiritual Journey
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: The bus and guide will pick you up from your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter area.
10:30 AM: Arrive at Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest temple complex in Southeast Asia. Your guide will take you to explore the massive Buddhist architectural works and admire the colossal Buddha statues.
Mid-day: Lunch Break

Afternoon: Trang An Boat Tour
1:30 PM: After lunch, the group will move to the Trang An wharf. You will board a small boat for a tranquil 2-2.5 hour journey. The boat will gently float along the river, taking you through a series of majestic limestone caves and lush valleys surrounded by towering mountains.
4:00 PM: Get back on the bus to return to Hanoi.
5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Arrive back in the Hanoi Old Quarter, concluding your memorable day trip.

Since this is a full-day excursion from Hanoi, we recommend traveling light with a small daypack containing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a camera, and a raincoat or umbrella. You can safely leave heavy bags or extra personal items on our air-conditioned bus during sightseeing, as the driver remains with the vehicle throughout the day.
Bai Dinh Pagoda is a large spiritual complex that involves a fair amount of walking along covered walkways and steps. To save energy, most travelers choose to take the electric shuttle car inside the complex. The shuttle ticket is excluded from the tour price to give you flexibility, but your professional English-speaking guide will assist you in buying tickets on-site.
Depending on the daily schedule and group interest, an optional stop at Mua Cave can be arranged for a small extra fee ($5–$7 USD per person). The climb up Dragon Mountain involves 500 steep stone steps and rewards you with panoramic views of Tam Coc. If you prefer not to climb, you can relax at the lotus garden cafe at the base while the rest of the group hikes.
We provide a local buffet lunch at a spacious restaurant in Ninh Binh. Yes, the boat trip through Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex is very safe and suitable for all ages. Each small bamboo boat is navigated by a skilled local rower and holds up to 4 passengers. Standard safety life jackets are provided on every boat and are mandatory for all guests throughout the 2-to-2.5-hour cave route.
Trang An boats operate under most weather conditions. The small boats are equipped with large umbrellas for shade or light rain. In case of unexpected heavy rain, disposable raincoats are widely sold at the wharf for a minimal fee. Trang An retains a misty, peaceful atmosphere during light rain, making it an authentic local adventure.
