Honestly, organizing a trip for 8 people is usually a nightmare, but we lucked out with this package. Since there were 8 of us, the price per person actually dropped quite a bit, which was a huge plus for our budget. We started in Saigon, and that first night food tour was wild—crossing the streets there is an absolute sport, but our guide was so patient with us! The itinerary is packed, so expect some long days. Traveling in our own private van made it so much easier though, especially since we could just pass out between stops.The Cu Chi Tunnels were fascinating but definitely tight if you’re claustrophobic. For most of us, the absolute highlights were the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills (mega crowded, but we managed to get some good group shots) and the Lan Ha Bay cruise. Waking up to those limestone views from the cabin window was surreal. We also did the Ao Dai photo session in Hanoi, which we thought would be baduy (cheesy) at first, but we ended up laughing so much and the photos actually turned out great. The 4-star hotels were decent, clean, and right in the middle of everything. It’s a fast-paced tour, but if you want to see the main spots of Vietnam with your barkada (friends) without arguing over logistics, this is it.

We just completed this 9-day tour with our two teenagers, and it was a fantastic introduction to Vietnam. Traveling through three different regions in just over a week can feel daunting, but having a dedicated private guide and driver in each city took all the stress out of the logistics. The history aspect was a big draw for us. The Cu Chi Tunnels and Hoa Lo Prison in Hanoi were incredibly eye-opening and provided a lot of meaningful conversations for our family. It’s heavy, but very necessary history.As for the pace, it's definitely active. There’s a lot of walking involved—especially around Hoi An and the Marble Mountains—so definitely bring good sneakers. Our kids loved the Hanoi Train Street experience and the food tours, though it took them a couple of days to get used to the local flavors. The overnight cruise in Lan Ha Bay was the perfect mid-trip break we needed to just slow down and unwind. The boutique hotels were consistently comfortable, though some rooms were on the smaller side, but you’re barely in the room anyway. We also appreciated the pre-trip reminder about dressing properly for the temples, which saved us some hassle. It’s a well-curated tour that hits all the right notes for a family vacation.

My partner and I wanted a mix of everything for our first visit, and this hit the spot. Having our own private guide made a massive difference—we could move at our own pace without waiting on a huge tour bus. Hoi An was beautiful at night with all the lanterns, though quite touristy. Our favorite part by far was kayaking around the limestone karsts in Lan Ha Bay during the overnight cruise—absolutely reckon that's a must-do. The cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter was also a fun, slightly hectic experience. Everything ran on time, the hotels were lovely, and we felt really well looked after the whole way through.
